Fear of mash

Today, my mother insists that because I won’t eat my dad’s mashed potatoes, it means I must think he is a bad cook and that I'm a disrespectful little prick. I wouldn’t touch mashed potatoes even if Gordon Ramsay made them, and I was on the brink of starvation. FML

it's probably a texture thing. I seriously don't understand why parents force kids to eat something they hate. My family has a rule try it once if you don't like it don't eat it. Even now I know the list of stuff my wife will not eat, and stuff she eats that I don't like.

It's interesting that thing is a thing when you're a child being forced to eat, and then as an adult no ones could care less what you eat or don't eat. I think parents are like this sometimes if money is tight or if they define their worth from cooking.

I mean you have terrible taste in food but her reason for being mad at you is whack

Mashed potatoes are good if you don't mess them up, you dont hear of too many people disliking them, but regardless, your mother is a tad dramatic.

Couldn't your dad make something else other than mashed potatoes? If mashed potatoes is the only thing he can bake, he might not be that good at cooking.

sounds like a challenge to Gordon Ramsey someone should tag him in this
