Definitely odd! The incident he was referring to was a good many years ago and why on earth that would be on his mind at that particular time is weird beyond explaining. Unless you bear a significant resemblance to Casey Anthony then I cannot imagine the mental connections that brought that up! While even “normal” people do sometimes have “brain farts” sometimes, this is pretty much beyond “normal”. I would say that this does not speak well of the frame of mind of your date and I hope you have ended all contact.
