Today, I turned 22. Instead of cutting my own cake, I stood by and smiled at a friend's belated birthday party. Her birthday was actually two months ago, but she decided to have her party on my birthday. No one remembered mine but everyone got her beautiful gifts. FML

Today, I celebrated my birthday with my friend who has the same birthday by going out to dinner with a bunch of our friends. The waiter brought out a cake for my friend but not for me. No one noticed my exclusion. I sang happy birthday on my birthday. FML

Today, I celebrated my 22nd birthday. On my cake stood last year's "21" candle, to which had been added a single candle. Clearly, times are tough. FML

Today, I had my 21st birthday party. My friends told me to have the party even though it had been 5 months since my actual 21st birthday. They asked me why I didn't have one originally and I jokingly told them it was because I didn't think anyone would come. Turned out nobody came after all. FML

Today, I realized that I’ve gone out of my way every year to make everyone around me’s birthday extra special. I can’t remember the last time anyone celebrated or remembered mine. This year my “best friend” scheduled her elective surgery I’m supposed to take her to on my birthday. What a party. FML

Today, I showed up to my friend’s birthday party with a huge cake... on what turned out to be the wrong day. The actual party is tomorrow. Her family laughed and thought if was cute, but I just wanted the floor to open up and let me disappear. FML

I agree with #124.. Why didn't you say something? Throw a tantrum for god's sake.. or not even that, send out a short, concise e-mail thanking your friends for the birthday wishes. They deserve to feel horrible. Also, please replace them.

Ydi for not speaking up and letting a supposed friend basically be a bitch and ruin your day. But I also say FYL that noone who attended remembered it was your birthday. That has gotta hurt. Dump the friend, plan a better party and next time Speak Up!

when they were planning her party you probably should of said "OH! but thats my 22nd birthday..." and then everyone would of known........ you kinda just stood by and let it happen
