He wanted your stuff and wanted to "justify" taking it. It feels entitled to your stuff and you denied him. He thought he was better than you and you reminded him how weak he really was. None of these are good signs. Hopefully this is an isolated incident but I doubt it if he's this bold and this emotionally fragile. Does he do manipulative stuff to others as well?
