Today, my teacher said that I can't make up a test in his class because it would be "unfair" to his other students. I spent the whole test day in the emergency room because of a car accident. FML

I had a teacher that failed a student for missing the final. The reason she missed the final was a death in the family. The teacher stated that there were extra credit options the student did not take advantage of during the whole semester and that the student wouldn't have passed even with a good grade on the final. This was told to us on on the first day of class as a warning.

I had surgery on my knee on the day of the test and my teacher made me take it the monday after spring break

Check with your school. Nearly every public school has a makeup policy that allows you to make up all of your work for an excused absence (which, with a doctors note, it should very well be)
