Today, we had an intervention for my mother who is a drug addict and who has been stealing money from me. She has now disowned me and everyone involved but still expects me to give her money to feed her habit. FML

It's unfortunate, but this is when you cut that person out of your life, even your mother. She's already stealing from you, and now she is condemning you because you want to help her get healthy, yet she still expects you to support her filthy habit, she's toxic. The only way people get better from these issues is if they want to put in effort and help themselves, your mom clearly doesn't. By keeping her and her attitude around, it will only make your life harder, she'll drag you down with her, and you don't need that. For the sake of your health, mentally, physically, financially and whatever else, leave and never look back.

Move out immediately. Don't spare a single coin to her, if you're 18, it's legal to not give any funds to anybody if you don't owe anyone.

It doesn't seem that complicated to not give her money.

Unfortunately until she is admitting the problem to herself there is little you can do .. It's so sad to be put in your position .. All you want to do is help yet the person who is addicted can only think about there next fix .. Suggest rehab .. Are there any programs near you that might help..

I went through similar with both my patents had to change banks and lose contact with them completely
