Today, my evil mother-in-law decided to look for a house in my city. There is a house for sale across the street from mine, and it's in her price range. FML

Step 1: Casually remark, within earshot of your MIL, that you're glad the woman across the street is finally moving since her psychopathic steroid-addled MMA fighter ex-boyfriend keeps violating the restraining orders by kicking in the doors, and what with him in jail at the moment she can escape and he won't know she's gone. Step 2: Contact the realtor selling that house and tell them that you've got $1000 for them when it sells to someone else. Anyone else.

Do what I do, anonymously send her bacon from online grocery store every week. And pray she has a heart attack soon!

Tell her someone killed themselves in the house. (: That turns most people away.

Maybe purchase the house before she does, if you can afford it!

Tell the previous owners not to sell to sell to (name), say she is your mother in law, the owner will understand.

that would be very baddd!! good luck OP

Don't worry Debra, Raymond will take care of this.
