Today, I was using a wooden toothpick to try to get at some food that was firmly lodged between my teeth. The toothpick broke and now I also have a splinter of wood jammed in there too. FML

False_Stupidity tells us more.

Tried floss but that didn't work. Ended up buying some plastic toothpicks and was able to eventually pry the food and splinter free. I think I'll be using plastic from now on after this experience.

Dental floss would've been a better choice.

Wooden you choose a less dangerous thing to use?

Better that than accidentally chipping your tooth or something

Or just the pick stabbing under your tongue or something

I wood suggest brushing your teeth next time.

Doesn't work for things stuck between the teeth.

It always works for me. Try a different toothbrush.

I don't ussally post but water picks were soo well! much better than flossing for me!

Always knew it was a matter of time before something like this wood happen

Dam #4 you took it from my fingers

Well, please keep your fingers from my wood.

That really sucks OP I hope you get it out. must be very painful.

Luckily I was able to get the splinter and the food out eventually. It took buying some plastic toothpicks and a lot of patience.

Your life must be truly terrible

Have to admit, I cringed a bit when reading this.

use the other end of the pick to dig them both out

Right. Because the logical thing to do after getting a partial toothpick lodged in between your teeth is to insert it back in again.
