Today, I was closing the deal on this beautiful $200k ranch in the country. The buyer soon pulls up and we get to discussing the contract terms, soon the buyer asks the seller," Wow why is this house going so cheap?" The seller replies, "Do you believe in ghosts?" There goes my $8,000 commission. FML

You got the wrong buyers. If I had the money, I would've bought the house BECAUSE of the ghosts. Unless they were vengeful spirits. I'm sorry though, that really sucks. Especially in this global economy XP.

well techniqually buyer had the rights to know everything about the property. it's more about making the right deal for the buyer n seller than making the middle man happy

I'm sorry, this is a real FML! There isn't anything conceivable to get out of this situation that is legal or moral! Your 'seller' is a total idiot, and should probably be taken out back and put out of his misery. Talk to the buyer, and maybe you can work something out. Maybe you can explain just how astronomically stupid your 'seller' is, and how you are very sorry that he was let out of his cage. Find a ghost enthusiast is a good option.

Usually if the seller is trying to sell the house because of the ghosts they probably don't care if they are down 200k. And they they are selling it for 200k which really cheap those types of houses so they are probably paid much more for it to start with and are at a loss
