Today, after thinking it over for 3 months and finally landing on the subject naturally, I was about to come out to my mom as bisexual when she said, "I have nothing against people who are gay, but people who are bisexual make me uncomfortable." FML

Mom, I’m about to say something that is going to make you very uncomfortable.....

So... did you ask her how comfortable she was at that moment and then go “Well, I’m BI-III!!” Just to see what would happen?

People laugh, but it makes me sad that there are still people that think like that in this modern world. Though, the current executive administration isn’t helping to progress the LBTG agenda, or prompting a new age of unconditional acceptance. I’m just sorry that your mom feels that way. I’ve always known that if I were gay, and came out to my parents, they’d just want me to be happy and healthy. Sadly, a good portion of homeless teens are on the streets after being kicked out of their home for being gay. Things are better, but we’ve still got a LONG way to go. Good luck OP.

That's when you just say "I'm glad I make you uncomfortable" then just stare at her until she gets it.
