Today, I showed my son a picture of my brother who died 15 years ago. My son says when he sees the picture, 'Daddy I know that man. He talks to me sometimes. His name is Pauric.' My son is 3 years old and I've never talked about Pauric before. FML

Hey, maybe your brother's getting to know his nephew from the other side!! Kids have that funny ability to see things we can't. I voted YLS but really it doesn't, since I mean it's kinda cool!!

Once, I was sitting on the driveway with my mom and we were watching my 3 year old brother and 4 year old sister riding their bikes around. Suddenly, he stopped, looked at my mom and said, "I have a brother. His name is Patrick." I laughed. My mother was pale as a ghost. Then quietly, and simultaneously informing me for the first time, she declared, "I never told him. Or you or your sister. Anytime we talked about him, you guys were nowhere near to even possible overhear the conversation. Patrick, he died in childbirth." Holy shitballs.

For whatever it is worth, what your boy is seeing is not some friendly ghost. Thread calmly.

Sorry this doesn't relate OP, but is your brother Pauric's (may he rest in piece) name spelt Padriac like the Irish name?

That is actually rather cool! Just know that your brother is with your son and you and you HAVE a guardian angel! It's not as creepy as you might think :)

First off: This is yet another reason I have no desire to raise kids. It seems like way too many 'paranormal' type events focus on them. Second: I'd suggest asking him about the Pauric he knows, and discern if it is just a creepy look alike somehow. Third: If you've had him taken care of by friends or family who knew Pauric, ask them if they'd mentioned him- it could be that they told him about Pauric. Fourth: If the above isn't the case, and the idea of lingering spirits is a concern to you, keep and eye out for other weird phenomenon, so you know when/if to look for a Spirit specialist and/or Priest. (Though if the Priest wants to do an exorcism on your son, don't let him. Exorcisms have a track record of being dangerous and even deadly.) Fifth: If neither of the above specialists are your thing, I'd suggest looking up methods for dispelling harmful spirits. Four and five are really more for your peace of mind, but sometimes that goes a long way.
