Today, I met up on a blind date. He took a phone call one drink in and said he had to leave because he didn't know it was his buddy's birthday, and they were having a party without him. I offered to split the bill and put out a $20. He got up, unlocked the bicycle behind us and rode off. FML

damn, Lance Armstrong must be broke as hell!

Wait? So if you ride a bike, you are poor? What if he lived nearby? Or his car was in the shop or didn't want to drive? Gold diggers are terrible people. Stop being one.

I'm sure that the call was more of a "rescue call," and that the story about the friend's birthday was a ruse.

Blind dates are not usually the way to go...sorry OP...

plenty of fish in the sea. :) everyone has a soulmate just depends if you want one or not.

Sounds like he just wanted a free meal. You're better off. :)

Probably didn't have any place in his tight fitting biker pants for a wallet, or proper manners.

On the bright side, you only wasted 15 minutes of your life with him. Could have been worse.

Well, at least you found out pretty quickly what a jerk he is. No need to go on a second date with this idiot.

Lol wow what a moron. Either he's such a douchebag that he doesn't even know his friend's birthday or he's such a douchebag that he couldn't just be honest and say he wasn't interested. Either way, you're better off. I hope you have better luck on your next date

I hope you heard the whistle of the wind as you dodged that bullet!
