Today, I had a large pimple on my temple. I decided to try the whole "put toothpaste on the zit to make it dry up" technique that all the magazines say to do. Not only is my pimple still there, but the toothpaste irritated my skin and my already large pimple now appears three times bigger. FML

Did you use gel toothpaste or white toothpaste? You're not supposed to use gel.

magazines tell you the impossible... if it's said - when your toe hurt, you should twist your hand so bad that it breaks, to reduce the pain. Will ya do it?!...

magazines generally give good tips and advice. think about it--if they kept saying bs, would anyone buy their magazine?

baking soda is good for bites, to reduce the itchyness, it probably won't help with zits

it always works for me... you mustve left it on too long or are using the wrong type of toothpaste. try colgate extra whitening. it works like a charm.

toothpaste is a bad idea in generel. use something made for the purpose of cleansing your face, not your teeth.

Yeah, the toothpaste thing doesn't work for me either. Almost the same thing happened to me when I tried it before. It was bad.

I've done toothpaste before and left it on all night, and the next morning, POOF! my pimples were smaller/nonexistent. I used Colgate Total with Whitening, but I know for a fact that you're not supposed to use the gel kind.
