You can train your gag reflex but it takes time and effort. Otherwise, titanium implants are amazing but they're also amazingly expensive.
Has your surgeon or dentist spoken to you about dental implants? Even just getting the front teeth replaced can help you avoid that meth head look. Also, are you gagging from the taste / sensation or are the dentures protruding too far into your mouth? It could be an adjustment or different materials are needed.
I feel ya, bud. Due to a lifetime of medications, inhalers and vomiting, I have a wicked case of "meth mouth" going on. Even with insurance I pay $200 an extraction and dentures are closer to $7000 and aren't covered unless you're on welfare. Over $12000 to fix this mess and I get judged every day. I've even been asked if I know where to find.
Sounds like they simply don't fit. If the palate is too far back or down, the dentist can adjust that for you to make it more comfortable. Don't give up hope. Keep complaining to your dentist or get a second opinion at another office. I'm sure someone can make the proper adjustments so you don't have to walk around toothless. Good luck!
