Dioxin01 tells us more.
Hey everyone, This happened while I was driving in the United States. Also if I hadn't helped him, there would be no chance of him being alive today.

what a jack ass. you should be fine though.
just put him back under the car...problem solved...
3 is right, you're protected by the good Samaritan law
wow unbelievable...what a dick
Unless the car was on fire, you should have left him alone. You could have stood with him until help arrived, but you probably did more harm than good. No worries -- it'll only take you a few decades to work that off.
Even if he SHOULD have left him in the car, as long as he is not a trained professional and was acting out of good faith, it SHOULD be covered under his province's good Samaritan or equivalent law
fortunately you are protected by law
it was just an accident ppl! unless he didn't apologize, then he's a prick. sucks for you :-/
you can't get sued because you are under the good submaritin law which does let someone sue you if you tried to help them
