Today, in marching band, the guy in front of me backed up too far. As we turned, the back of his trombone hit mine, smashing it into my lip. I had to finish the song, all while sending blood down my horn. FML

56, you would be surprised at how smart you have to be to play an insturment. Reading music is like being able to speak another language. And judging from your unfortunate spelling, you aren't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Go back to your video games and be a loser. At least we have talent. BAND GEEKS FOR LIFE! <3

I commend you on being hardcore, but couldn't you just fake it for the rest of the song while you recovered? Hope you tell that guy off.

I just like to say half of what we spend hours practicing at band you guys couldn't play even if you spent days trying just like most band people don't play varsity sports cause it's not their forte don't hare on band people cause they rock.

I'm calling fake on this, or at least that it's hugely exaggerated (sp?) 1. if your lip is hit hard enough to make it bleed, it is far too painful to play most instruments. 2. I don't really see how the blood could even end up inside the instrument, considering that players lips go around the edge of the mouthpiece, not really inside it.

seriously stfu all u band hatred out there. do u even realize how much work goes into a 7 minute show? it takes hundreds of hours to arrange the parts, set up and memorize the drill and put it to music. at my school the band gets pe and fine arts credit and we do way better than any of our sports teams. I played lacrosse from 6th grade to freshman year and the conditioning we do in band is harder than what I did there. btw sorry bout the long comment and that really sux dude, I play trombone and I almost hit some of the colorguard every show last year because of the drill and music
