These people are the worst

Today, my brother wore a T-shirt to my birthday party that said "I dig skinny chicks". I'm a recovering anorexic and told him that I didn't really like his shirt. His response? "Don't let the liberal media brainwash you into thinking it's OK to be fat." FML

I hope you punched him in the face. He's your brother, so it's alright for siblings to fight. Actually, while you're at it, give him a beating.

You read beyond the shirt, right? Specifically to the point where he essentially said it's wrong to be fat.

Who cares what you think he has every right I wear that shirt, wether you like it or not

Your brother's a jerk if he really thinks that.

That's horrible. I hope he will realize what he said. Good luck with your recovery, Op! There are better people to support you

I'm so sorry, what he said was incredibly wrong and insensitive. I wish you well in your recovery

What a dick. Sorry OP. Congrats on your recovery though!

Depends on what criteria is used to define "fat."

It's like wearing shirts that encourage drinking beer around a recovering alcoholic on their birthday, and when they ask you to not wear it, responding with "Don't let the liberal media brainwash you into thinking it's okay to be sober!" Not to mention that it's the pressure to be thin that is one of the causes of anorexia. And thin != healthy, to begin with.

Give us his name so we can spread it to everyone so he never gets a girl again
