There's no helping some people

Today, I was helping a 93 year-old hoarder organize her home. She asked me to make ropes from old plastic bags, fold bags in a specific odd way, then fit four large boxes of bags into one smaller one. I said I couldn't do those, nor fit four boxes in one. "Why are you here if you can’t do things?" she said. I’m a professional home organizer. FML

Today, I decided to declutter my closet and donate old clothes. Proud of my altruism, I packed everything into bags and drove to the donation center. As I handed over the bags, the volunteer looked at me sympathetically and said, "We're not accepting donations right now." So not only did I just Marie Kondo my wardrobe, I also managed to be a one-person traffic jam for nothing. FML

Honestly that's exactly what I would expect when helping a hoarder. Is a debilitating mental illness after all.

Just because you got some high-falutin' fancy degree don't make you no better n her. She's a 93 year old hoarder -- she could show you a thing or two, whippersnapper!

she probably got stressed out by your judgement. if you cant handle the task effectively and compassionately, you shouldn't try. not in this situation.

if she's a horder you shouldn't be doing the job alone. get someone to help you :) or turn her down, and let her drown in her trash.
