Today, my boyfriend was serving dinner, and decided to circle the table with my son's plate while making UFO noises. My son grabbed at the plate and spilled it, making a huge mess. They both decided that I should clean it up. FML

Time to shut down that toxic masculinity before the BF irreparably infects your son with it. Talk with him or dump him if he won't reconsider his stupidity. Teach your son that what they both did was wrong, and that everyone's responsible for their own messes.

i'm assuming that your son is real young based off the fact that your bf is making ufo noises? i'd make the bf clean that up. your son was hungry and kept his plate from him. if your son is a little older, the noises would seem pretty condescending either way. bf should clean it up if not both for making the mess in the first place

Tell your son it's rude to expect mommy to clean up when she didn't make the mess, then shove your boyfriend's face in it, make him eat it up, and once it's clean kick his misogynistic ass out.
