Spluttering and confused

Today, I was in a supermarket using the self-checkout. I tried to scan a loaf of bread, but it wouldn't register. After several attempts and increasing frustration, I slammed the loaf down on the scanner. The bread tore open, and seeds flew everywhere. An old woman behind me said, "Technology can be hard for the young, too." FML

$50 says the bag was crinkled where the barcode was printed and you didn't notice. Also, not asking for assistance from a staff member is ridiculous.

100$ says the scanner was dirty exactly where you need to pass the crinkled barcode to scan the bread. Sometimes those scanners are disgusting.

I also hate the self-checkout lanes and almost never use them… But… That was no reason to slam your bread down hard enough to burst the bag. It just made you look like an idiot or someone with anger control issues who needs counseling. Which may be the case.
