Special day

Today, it's my long-anticipated 21st birthday! Today also happens to be the first day of my period. I've spent the whole morning in the fetal position with agonizing cramps, reduced to tears, and whimpering while the painkiller refuses to kick in. Happy birthday! Love, my uterus. FML

Oh honey, I know exactly how you feel. I get them worse than anyone I know. Feel better. =[

Oh goodness, I've had my period (with crippling cramps and nausea) on my birthday pretty much every year since I got my period. It's hell. I know how you feel...it does suck. Oh and #3...I think she means the first day of THIS particular period.

Maybe you should consider going on birth control. It's helped a lot of women with the same problem. And yeah, that is an FML, she has extreme cramps, which can be debilitating.

at least you're not pregnant happy birthday!

First DAY of her period, people. Learn to read. e.e Agh, that sucks so bad! I have NO IDEA why people (trolls?) are saying you deserve this. Well, it's just a birthday I guess.

ugh, that sucks. hopefully it gets a little better before tonight. happy birthday anyway!!

I'm so sorry. I had terrible cramps my 16th birthday, but my mom took me out to a restaurant anyway. It sucked because I could barely stand or eat, but at the end I got a laptop which made me feel tons better. :)

Hm, since you were really anxious about your 21st birthday [happy birthday, by the way] might've caused your period to come earlier? Seeing as you might have a good idea of when you start and this caught you by surprise. Drink tea, have some vitamin E and a heating pad on your lower stomach and that should relieve some of the pain and you should go to the doctor as well. Hope you feel better soon. :]

While the heating pad does help with the pain for a while, it can also cause severe bleeding and even more pain afterwards. Happens to many women. Careful with that!

Could be wors.e I was in labor on my last birthday. The baby was born 2 days later.

Oh nooooo that's brutal, I hope it gets better for tonight! I hate cramps.
