Today, I made a tasty, healthy plant-based lunch for my family. They ate a few bites, spat it out, and then went to McDonald's "to eat real food, you know, food with meat in it." FML

Are you just doing this for attention? I mean, even negative attention is attention, nonetheless. It doesn't take much to read these boards and tell that being a sneaky bitch and trying to force other people into a lifestyle against their will is stupid? Can't you read and learn that this shit don't work? YDI for not turning on your screen reader and letting it read what you obviously won't.

They obviously didn't think it was tasty if they spit it out, now did they? Do you generally spit out food you find tasty? No? Then maybe admit to yourself that that's your opinion instead of a fact. There are plenty of food items that don't contain meat and also taste good, but the ones that are specifically meant to replace animal products (soy burgers, vegan cheese, etc.) don't taste good to most people. If you choose to eat them, great, but don't force others to do so against their will.

if you want to be vegetarian/vegan, do you. don't try to force it on your family. I'd be furious

Plant based "meat" is ass. My dog won't even eat it and you expect your family to?

Did your family express interest in trying this plant-based meal? Or any such meal? Like, I get wanting to encourage people to try new things, but you really do have to read the room sometimes, y'know?

Did you even ask them if they were interested in eating a meal like that before you made it for them?
