Today, I sat down for class. The second I sat down, the guy next to me stood up and moved all the way to the other side of the class. FML

Do what any sane, rationally minded person would do. Calmly stand up, follow him to the other side of the room, look him right in the eye and sit down next to him. Keep staring for the rest of the class. Trust me, by the end of the lesson, you'll have made a friend for life.

maybe he is a loner, I wouldn't take it personally..if it keeps happening though, you might give it some thought..maybe change deodorants or sth..

You were okay for the first sentence. Then it just went downhill. This seems like an isolated incident, not the fault of any deodorant.

My point exactly, 15. Since it's an isolated incident, that would suggest that BO was not the issue, as then it would occur more often. But as OP has already said that they forgot their deodorant on this one occasion, that would change things. But my previous comment was made before I read that.

Hello, OP here! First off, I'd like to say, wow. I was actually quite surprised that this got accepted. I literally almost choked on my drink when I saw the email notification. So, thanks guys! That aside, my thoughts on what happened was that I had been late to my class before that one, and in a rush to get into class before being REALLY late, I forgot to apply deodorant. I didn't think I smelt bad, since I took a stop to the restroom to clean up before class. Though, maybe it was something else entirely, I don't really know.

Too bad you didn't do what 7 suggested. Next time you have class with that person, be sure to sit next to them and follow them.
