Misplaced fury

Today, I was visited by a high school friend who lives in another state. She was furious because I got married a few months ago, and she kinda had feelings for me. I had to ask her to leave. Here's the funny thing: she's been married for 4 years and they have a son, and she didn't even invite me to her wedding back then. FML
I agree, your life sucks 500

Maybe she was too afraid that if she did invite you, she would come running after you in her wedding dress, leaving the groom at the altar, you would run away, both families would pelt her with the wedding buffet, and the marriage would be cancelled before it even started.

Some people are astoundingly selfish and stupid. OP’s remaining single was the mental escape clause that let her imagine dumping her husband and being with OP as a future possibility. Completely unrealistic and selfish! If she didn’t love her husband she had no business being married to him.

Perhaps this 'friend' was just enjoying knowing that you were single? My sister is like that, just knowing someone who is worse off than her makes her happy. Gives her a boost in life. The instant that person has any luck or their lives improve, they're the devils own spawn and she absolutely hates them with a bile and venom that's impressive to behold. It's very sad. Congrats on your wedding and forget the bitch.
