Mom just backed out of the room with him slowly, like, "I see what you mean, we'll leave you alone now." I hate him so much. FML

Today, my brother and I ruined our mother's birthday by fighting. She's 76, we're 55 and 54 and yet still unable to comport ourselves like adults. She yelled at us and then "showed me" by eating the dish he made but not mine. I reverted to teenage coping tactics, dissociating like a boss, and hiding in my room. Worst family visit ever. FML

Speaking as an electronic engineer, soda is one of the very worst things to spill on electronics. It’s electrically conductive leading to damage from shorts. And unless it’s a diet soda, it leaves a sticky residue when it dries. If you get anything liquid spilled on anything electronic, immediately unplug it. The majority of the damage comes from damage that happens while the power is on. By the way once most electronics smoke it’s all over…
