Foot in mouth

Today, my grandpa died. I called my grandma to make sure she was going to be fine. After talking over the phone for 30 minutes or so, I told her goodbye and said, out of habit, "Say hi to grandpa for me". FML

That's like you saying "Your Next"

You should have added "In your prayers i mean" then it wouldn't be an fml.

perfectly normal. i've had 3 grandparents die, and all 3 times i'd say stuff like that for several weeks afterward. it takes some getting used to. like when we were cleaning out my grandpa's house after he died, there were several occassions when i called his name to ask what was for lunch or what not. sorry for your loss. losing a friend/family member is hard.

I'm sure she new what you ment. Some habbits are hard to brake. RI
