The good news is that you're not going to have to do that boring job much longer. Either the company is so pathetic that they'll fold soon, or they'll replace you with an automated system. Bring a book until you become unemployed.

I have that a lot at my job (inbound call center) sometimes I have to wait for 20 minutes until I get to help someone.

LMFAO I've done that before as a cashier. It was during winter and I didn't have a customer for two hours. I saw a person walking to the store, ran up to the window and yelled, "Oh my God, PEOPLE!!!"
