Dwelling in it is absolute power, enough to overthrow the gods. The only reason it does not is because he is bound to the mortal plane due to his immense sin, thus making his powers unstable. It now lies dormant, biding its time as its power slowly stabilises, enough so that he can fulfill its raison d'etre. For some reason, it likes to transform into the form of a human being, and traverse the world.
