Today, my friend drove me me to catch the 8 pm train. Running late, we screeched into the parking lot at 7:57, stopped the car in a 'no stop' zone. I said goodbye to my friend, sprinted to my train and barely made it. Then, with the train in motion, I noticed my friend's car keys in my hand. FML

ATTENTION: I AM THE ONE WHO POSTED THIS FML 1. I think it's hilarious how many of you think it is fake. 2. If you've ever posted on FML before, you'll know you can only put 300 characters which means details are left out. 3. We were running so late that my friend ran inside to scan my ticket (I bought online so I had to get the actual ticket from the counter) while I got all my bags from the car. I grabbed the keys out of the car because I met her in the lobby to exchange keys for tickets (I didn't want her car to sit there running in the middle of the street.) We were so flustered about catching the train , I snatched the ticket and took off running for the train. We didn't even realize we didn't switch back the keys. FML

Lol. You just unknowingly Pwned your friend. One thing though. If he was driving why were the keys in your hands? You would have had to reach over, take them out the ignition and then run. Doesn't make sense.

I think #7's explanation makes sense.

Quick, quick! Throw them out the window!

Is there a specific reason why the keys weren't in your FRIEND's hand?

Yeah I think the trunk explanation makes the most sense.

To those wondering why he had the keys: it was probably one of those RFID keys, that only need to be inside the car or so for the ignition to work. I've done this myself once - had the key in pocket, sat in passenger seat, car starts due to wireless signal being received, walked away with keys still in pocket.

but still why wouldn't the friend keep the keys in his pocket?

maybe the friend started the car while the driver was using the restroom or something...i have done that...my friend has one of those keys...i hopped out at the post office while she stayed in the car with the kids...the car shut off...

That happened to me before, except with my boyfriend and our house keys. He had to catch a train to Wisconsin. We met up in the city before he left to exchange keys, and I had a bad day, so between him cheering me up, and everything, he forgot to give me the keys.

Because so many people have RFID keys for their cars. of course, everyone does... except not really. Trunk makes sense but still.

If your friend was driving why did you have the keys?
