Today, my dad told me that my trip to London (to visit him) has been cancelled due to 'work issues'. My departure was scheduled the day after tomorrow and the tickets were booked 4 months ago. Also, my school trip to Croatia (scheduled for April) was cancelled earlier this month. FML

Today, I realized am THAT parent: I put a lot of pressure on my 8 year-old (!) daughter, because I hope she succeeds professionally and will have the self-confidence I lack.
