Today, in front of a hospital, I noticed that an old lady was having trouble lighting her cigarette because she had Parkison's. So I went to help her to light it up and she then started chatting with me and told me she had lung cancer. FML

Today, my mother called me and told me that she went to the hospital. This wasn't a surprise 'cos she normally goes to the hospital for the smallest things. I was a smartass and asked, "What now? You finally have lung cancer from all those cigarettes?" Apparently, she does. FML

Today, I got fed up with my neighbor who has been coughing, night and day, for six months. I rang at her door to tell her about several remedies I know of to help, so I could sleep. I thus found out she has lung cancer. FML

Today, I was having a cigarette in a smoking area when a mother with a pram strode towards me and exaggerated a cough to make some sort of point. Reluctantly, I put it out and walked off. I then turned around to see her lighting up a cigarette, and blowing smoke all over her baby. FML

Today, I was working at a hospital-level rest home. I was making the rounds when I noticed a woman was sitting in her (electric) wheelchair in the middle of the hall. Going closer, I saw her battery was flat so I said, "Uh-oh! Looks like you've died." She bawled her eyes out and said, "Not yet." FML

Today, my grandmother - who has been a heavy smoker for almost forty years, and does not believe in the dangers of smoking - was diagnosed with COPD. Also, I'm now at a greater risk of developing COPD because of her (and my parents, who also smoke). FML

Today, my friend (she's 14) said she had lung cancer. This made me and my other friend very worried for her, but now we know she was faking it since when she was "at the hospital" she was at a friend's house, and her mom came to the school to confirm she was faking the whole thing. FML

Maybe shes terminal as was my nan popoman.Why quit when u know that no matter what you WILL die.As my nan said she was going to die happy, even though she was told to quit drinkin and smoking.She died in her early 40's.I was 12.Hardest day of my life but hell I wouldnt have wanted her to stop and be miserable.

I think being so young you may have the wrong age in mind, if it was her early 40s when you were 12 that means she was around 28 -30 when you were born. meaning your parents and grandparents would both have had to be about 14 when they had you and your parent. Possible but unlikey.

Seriously WTF nobody deserves to die bcuz of a stupid choice they probably made years ago. Smoking cigs is harder to quit than heroin. Most people dont realize that when they start. Thats like me saying you deserve to die for saying something so stupid. Moron...........
