Today, I live in dorms and found out everyone is leaving for Christmas break. I also found out my student loan didn't go through, so now I cant afford to go visit my family that lives over 7 hours away. I guess I'll be spending Christmas alone in a dorm room. FML

Today, my college roomate and I received our first pieces of mail. We were very excited because our mailbox wasn't empty anymore. She got a package of home baked cookies in the mail from her family. I got a letter from a stranger in prison. FML

Today, after having recently moved 300 miles to be with my boyfriend of 2 years, I have to celebrate Christmas alone. He never thought our relationship important enough to tell his family about me, and doesn't want it to be "awkward." FML

Today, I went to my dad's house for Christmas. Soon enough, my grandma had commented on how much weight I've gained, my aunt asked me why I'm still single, and my dad joined in by reminding me that I still haven't been accepted into college. Only three more days to go. FML

Why do you have a "home, where [you] live alone" and live in a dorm room. That doesn't make any sense at all. Why in the world would you pay for both? And if you don't have to pay for one of them, then WHY do you pay for the other. This makes absolutely no sense.

I kind of feel the same way. To me, it seems like you're not making much of an effort to get to know people or make friends. Now I don't know if you're just super shy or have a horrible personality, but you have to fix those things or else complaining gets you nowhere.
