Today, I was grounded by my dad for "popping pills like a gangbanger". I take prescription ADHD medicine and a multi-vitamin. FML

Today, my doctor lectured me for 20 minutes about 'drug seeking behaviour' when I asked for more anti-anxiety medication. I need it because my shithead 15 year-old son found my pills and took them to get wasted. I need the meds in the first place because he's constantly pulling shit like this. FML
Today, I found out that the daily "vitamins" that my dad has been giving me for the last three months were actually weight loss pills. FML
Today, my dad grounded me for not having any friends. FML
Today, my psychotic step-dad asked me if I'm doing drugs. I replied with a massive amount of sarcasm: "Yeah, all of 'em. Especially meth." He flipped out, searched my room top to bottom, then grounded me "for good" until I tell him where I hid the supposed drugs. FML
Today, after constantly shaming me for my ADHD and anti-anxiety pills, my family finally convinced me to drop $250 on their trusted psychiatrist friend because they thought he’d talk me out of taking them. He recommended higher doses of everything. FML
Today, my grandma told everyone I'm using steroids and amphetamines, all because she mistook my protein powder and vitamin pills for drugs. FML
Today, I was dismissed because of my company's strict "no drugs" policy. Yesterday, I had a talk with my team leader and confessed that I have to take antidepressants; this arse then reported it to the management, and they fired me because they are not aware of what these pills contain, and it could affect my performance. FML
Today, my dad grounded me. Again. First it was my phone, now my watch. How the hell am I supposed to communicate now? FML
Today, my dad and mom and I were going out to eat dinner. My dad wanted a romantic dinner just with my mom so he told me to make an excuse not to go. I did, which ended up as a huge fight, grounded and phone taken away. My dad just stood there in the background putting thumbs up. FML
Today, I asked my father if it was okay for me to take an ADHD test. He spent about 30 minutes yelling at as to why that is a dumb idea. I have asked multiple people who know me better than anyone else and they believe that I might have ADHD. FML

I agree, there is no right way to metaphorically pop'em pills. Surely using a sexual reference - gangbang, as a metaphor in front of their children? That seems just awkward, and WTF moment.

17, the term "Gang banger" is a synonym for gangster, and does not refer to participants in 5 on 1 group sex. A gang banger may likely participate in gangbangs, however. The more you know :)

A street drug called speed? What the ****? No, ADD and ADHD medication is called medicine. Yeah, some are amphetamines but they aren't street drugs. Street drugs are more along the lines of meth and cocaine.

Adderall is a powerful, highly addictive - albeit prescribed - drug. You can call it what you want, but when you're skipping meals and grinding your teeth to nubs it doesn't really matter what context it's used (or abused) in.

Ideally, if a parent finds out that their kid is a drug addict, they should get the child help. Not simply ground them. Then again, OP's dad is an idiot as it seems impossible for him to not know about the prescription.
