Today, I told my boyfriend that I've been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Despite all my attempts to explain that he's wrong, he is totally convinced that my genitals have diabetes. This guy is going to be such a great father to our kids. FML

Today, my girlfriend dumped me after I told her I found out I have diabetes. She thought it was an STD and I had cheated on her. So I explained what it really was and she dumped me again because she didn't want her future children to inherit my fucked up DNA. FML

Today, since I needed someone to talk to about it, I told my girlfriend how my dad was recently diagnosed with diabetes. My girlfriend's mother then told me, in graphic detail, how her father's diabetes led to his toes being hacked off. FML

I didn't know what diabetes was when my boyfriend first told me about his but he explained it all to me before I could think of anything like this. Try explaining it to him, if he's still ignorant then you know where to tell him to go :)

Wow... What an insensitive , foolish jerk. Diabetes is a serious matter op, any medical condition is and you need someone who cares and won't think of you as a "sick or infectious person". Most conditions people have are not contagious any way! Even if they were everyone cannot run away and be scared anyone can get sick but they won't get diabetes or lupus , cancer from another person. Any friends that were not understanding of my illness i kicked to the curb. Sorry op!
