Today, I inadvertently gave passers by the middle finger as I tried to stop my glasses from sliding off my face. FML

I do it all the time without thinking, when my sunglasses are loose. Nobody ever seems to notice or care. I wouldn't beat myself up over it if I was OP.

I don't think many people would notice what finger you used, and most of the ones that did are very unlikely to have cared. And if someone did take offense, that's absurdity on their part.

<p>My mom used to do it all the time. Navigate or do things woth her middle or ring fingers and I'd ask her nicely to not. &nbsp;It was so ingrained to me that the normal way to do that stuff was with the pointer finger, and that the middle was bad. &nbsp;It still annoys me for those reasons. &nbsp;(seems wrong and also rude) &nbsp; &nbsp;But OP's situation might be a more legitimate good reason not to do it.&nbsp;</p>

God.. I do this way too much.. But I've kinda just started to go with it, you know, adding a smile on my face while doing it just to show that I'm not an asshole. I'm a smiling asshole.

I was walking to my local mall, one day, and my sunglasses were falling off my face so, without thinking, I used my middle finger to push them back up onto my face and it stuck. Whenever I used my middle finger for something without thinking, it doesn't bother me but I always wonder if someone saw it and thought I was flipping them off.&nbsp;</p>
