Today, I had to deliver pizza to my friend's party that I wasn't invited to. They didn't tip. FML

I see no issue tipping a friend if they did their job properly. And people in those positions sometimes rely on tips to help make up their wages. So if you had a friend who was your waiter/waitress, you would not tip them, even though you know that's what makes up their income? Shitty friends the OP has and shitty friends you people make who think it's weird to tip.

Why is it weird to tip a friend? If anything, I'd be tipping them more just because they're my friend and I care about them. Also, whether OP had to work or not isn't really relevant. I'm willing to bet the friends didn't know OP's schedule enough to know she was working that day. Even still, it's nice to be thought of and invited out of courtesy. Some people even plan and work their schedules so they can go to events. I remember I wasn't invited once because "you don't drink so I thought you wouldn't have fun and wouldn't want to come." Well, it would have been nice if they actually asked instead of just assuming, and if they did do that, they would've know I actually would've liked to go.

Personally I would feel weird tipping a friend. And if they knew that you were working why should they have invited you?

I completely agree. Why would they invite you if they knew you were working OP? And why would you expect a tip from your friends? I mean, it's the right thing to do but come on. I personally would feel weird too tipping a friend.

Maybe they would have requested the day off if they had been invited. I think OP needs new friends.
