Today, I picked my car up from the shop. After 5 minutes I noticed the oil and check engine light on. I pulled over, then the engine shut off completely. Turns out they forgot to put oil back in my car. I'll be needing a new engine. FML

Today, after having my car back for a few months after a $2,000 repair, I got in, only for it to not start. Don't worry. It's not the battery. It's the engine, which was fine yesterday. FML

Today, my check engine light came on. I took my car to the dealership, to be told it wasn’t an issue, and I would be fine to drive and use my car normally until my appointment in 4 days. Four hours later, my car won’t start 45 minutes from home. I guess a $200 tow bill means I wasn’t fine. FML

My check engine light is constantly on then it goes off then on again.. My uncle is a mechanic and he said there is nothing wrong with my car since all the parts that were broken have been replaced. We think my check engine light thing is broken, maybe yours is too?

Probably not the engine, probably a bad sensor. or even a loose/busted gas cap can set the check engine light on ... go somewhere else
