Today, I found out that two kids were able to, without much effort, convince my 16-year-old daughter that her friend's house was used to smuggle out Jews during WWII. His house was built in 2007. We also live in America. FML

Today, my younger sister had some friends over at ours. I was in the shower but was horrified to realize my clothes and towel were gone. Figuring that she took them, I tried to make it to my room without being seen, but one of her friends came up to use the bathroom. She saw everything. FML

I feel like the education system is starting to fail in some areas. For instance, my sister didn't even know that 9/11 happened or that we were at war. I would think that it'd be a pretty major issue, but I guess they don't find it necessary to inform.

Not enough context here. Houses being relocated is a thing. If they convinced her the house wasn't brand new but rather a house they moved from Germany then it makes sense to fall for it. If they claimed Jews were smuggled in the US from Germans then yeah dumb.
