Today, I found out that my parents booked me a surprise flight to Las Vegas to spend Presidents Day weekend with them. This would be completely fine if I wasn't going to miss both Valentine's Day and my boyfriend's birthday while I'm gone. FML

Today, after fishing for 5 hours, I finally caught a respectable-sized fish. I ran to my truck to grab the scale, and then I saw my friend laughing hysterically while holding an empty net. Apparently, the only catch of our day jumped out of the net during the 15 seconds I was gone. FML

Today, I was walking to a burger joint when a man driving by noticed me and parked. He started following me on foot. I noticed him when he was around 15 feet away. He walked back to his car and left, not caring that his intentions were then obvious, another robbery attempt. Post-pandemic life in California sucks. FML
