Today, after five months of working overtime and doing my own repairs around the house, such as patching my own roof to save money, I walk into my home office. I find my $2500, week old, top of the line laptop won't turn on because it's drenched in water. Apparently there's a leak in the roof. FML

If you're so poor, why aren't you getting the bottom-of-the-line computer? When I was broke, I had a POS no-name PC clone. Now, that I am working, I have the computer I want. Don't buy things you can't afford! And, BTW, YDI for fraudulently billing your clients for overtime when you were doing your own home repairs.

YDI, now your going to have to pay even more to fix the damage you did to the roof then you would of if you hired someone to repair it properly in the first place

your home owners might cover it

just saying..... why couldn't you just say what type of laptop it is? brand new top of the line is kinda vague......

ydi for being a dumb shit that tried to save money on home repairs. :D lol.

If you wanted to save money, you should've gone with a cheaper laptop. Unless you were saving money so you could buy the more expensive laptop. In that case, FYL. :(

stop bitching, find the receipt and return that week old laptop..ydi

read the owner's manual and see what it says about water dammage OR put it in a bag with dry rice for a few days. if possible, disassemble it first. let it dry out, then try it. i saved an mp3 player this way. OR take it to a computer repair shop and get an estimation of what is salvageable. that costs a service fee but at this point you're GOING to have to pay something.
