Today, after carefully keeping track of what I was eating and trying not to turn into a midnight snacker in order to lose weight, my sugar crashed at around 10:30pm. Before this I had two high protein bagels (at around 6:30pm) and a whole pint of fresh blueberries (at roughly 8pm) yet my sugar still crashed. FML

Do you have a blood sugar monitor? If you're diabetic, you might need more education about diabetic sugar monitoring. If you only "Felt" your sugar "crash," maybe you were just plain old tired.

protein is not carbs. if you want long term energy you should consider carbohydrates that are broken down to glucose. still account for the calories of the carbs for sure. but proteins are not the base glucose uou are needing.

Maybe the high protein bagels are the diameter of my thumb and you "forgot" to put any cheese on them. Try asking your doctor about what a healthy meal is. You can eat it in two settings if you want.

Your sugar didn’t crash, you got shaky because your sugar craving kicked in and you felt awful. You can push through it, like any addiction, you feel utterly awful while in withdrawal, but you can push through. It’s very very difficult to crack a sugar addiction.
