Today, after an embarrassing previous trip to the ER to remove a foreign object stuck in my colon, I was contacted by the hospital because they had found out I had lung cancer after my chest/abdomen xray. FML

Might turn out that your embarrassing trip saved your life. Maybe we should all get stuff stuck up our asses...

Probably better you find out now then who know how far down the road. Probably more options too.

Sorry, OP! Hopefully this means you can start treatments right away and wipe that thing out!

I think this one should have made the front page.

That may suck but if you caught it early enough if it la treatable. You can get treatment before you get really sick. Hope you get better soon

Just so you all know, lung cancer isn't curable. It may buy him time, but it's fatal. Sorry to hear, OP. Lost my dad to lung cancer three years ago.

I dont think OP needed to know that so soon

That's absolutely incorrect. It's usually fatal, but it also usually occurs in people over 70, and is often found only when it's already progressed to the later stages, which have lower rates of survival. The survival rate depends on the stage of the disease and the course of treatment. That said, I'm sorry for your loss. My grandfather died of lung cancer when I was little, and there's nothing good about that process.
