Testing testing

By Anonymous - This FML is from back in 2015 but it's good stuff - United States - Hood River

Today, one of my friends asked me to flirt with her boyfriend to see if he would flirt back. Knowing this was a trust test, I agreed. She got pissed at me when he flirted back and still isn't speaking to me. FML

How old are you guys? Sounds like she's pretty immature to blame you and not him.

The whole situation seems stupid to me. What did everyone honestly expect to happen here.

That's what you get for trying to trip up her boyfriend. Your friend must be insecure to have asked you. Sorry OP YDI.

What's your definition of flirting? Unless he made it clear that he would betray his relationship, I don't see how he failed the "test". Either way, YDI for involving yourself in someone else's relationship.

future reference the friend always gets blames. Whether that situation or if you find out he's cheating on her. It's stupid. Don't ever get involved with a couple you'll always lose out.

What kind of mind needs to come up with these "test" and why would anyone think it would turn out ok? smh

Some people just don't make sense, OP.

As a female, I don't understand why women think it's a good idea to do this. Has no one heard about this thing called trusting your SO? Why not just trust them until they do something to make you doubt them and lose your trust?
