Today, I was t-boned and my truck was rendered useless. I was given a ticket even though the man who hit me ran a red light. Why? Because there was dirt on my license plate. FML

If they are caught doing something wrong they get prosecuted too. How do you tell a rapist or terrorist from anyone else unless they are caught in the act?

I feel your pain Buddy. I pulled over on a small highway to take a cellphone call from a customer and write some things down. I got a ticket for not turning on my 4-way flashers. I thought I was doing the right thing by not talking and driving or trying to write something down while driving like I see so many idiots do everyday and I end up getting fined for it....

I remember I got pulled over once (he thought I was drunk but I was completely sober). Anyway, I sat in my car, which was off, and called my brother. The cop, who's car was behind me with his lights on, scolded me for calling my brother "unsafely." He didn't give me a ticket for it though. I feel as though some of the laws regarding exactly what to do when pulled over for a phone call are not clear.

I thought 4-way flashers (hazard lights) only had to be used if something was wrong with the car and if you were just pulling over using your blinker was fine?

Dude that is such bullshit! I seriously hope he also ticketed the other guy! You should fight it. I got pulled over once for going 55 in a 40. The ******* idiot was sitting right behind a speed limit sign that posted 55mph. Even after pointing that out to him he still gave me a ticket.

#43 yeah that's true. It's one of those things if you see the sign you can speed up to that limit just like you can go 5 over the speed limit and that's acceptable, except if a cop really feels like being a dick. At any rate, I did go back to the location and took footage of my exact route and the judge dismissed it.

Now with the down votes I really feel like I need to explain the full story. I was entering onto a freeway, the on ramp had no visible speed limits posted and the only one I saw was the one the cop was sitting behind, 55mph, so I sped up to 55 as that's how you merge into traffic. However there was road construction next to the on ramp and the speed limit had been reduced to 45. He assumed I came from the road construction since he didn't have a clear view of that location. I only discovered all that after I went back to get the footage I needed.
