Passive aggressive

Today, I cleaned our whole house. I wasn’t expecting praise, it was just the house needed cleaning so I did it. I also wasn’t expecting my girlfriend to get mad at me for “cleaning everything as a form of passive aggressively criticising her for her not having cleaned the house either.” What? FML

damned if you do, damned if you don't

How can she passively-aggressively procrastinate when you steal her duties? You knew what you were doing.

Her aggressive reaction to some perceived passive aggression is a sign she is ungrateful. I'ma guess this isn't the first time.

Whenever I do anything with cooking or cleaning, I notice that usually the woman of the house feels its their duty and cannot relax going forward

Being disabled with severe spinal issues from neck to lumbar along with other crap there's a lot I can't do and also a lot that causes extreme pain when I try to do them. That said, when I was learning my limits and had to back off on a lot of the cleaning I would feel extreme guilt which would come out as bitchy. It's taken awhile but my bf and daughter and I have found things I can do to help so I feel better. I am not saying this is the case with op but maybe his partner may has some kind of physical / mental issues that keep her from being able to participate in household chores.
