Not going out

By not drunk - This FML is from back in 2014 but it's good stuff - Brazil - Santa Maria

Today, I've been one year sober. My health has improved a lot, unlike my social life, which has died a horrible, lonely death. FML

Today, after two years of chronic usage, I’m 26 days sober off weed. About 2 months off nicotine. One year off psychedelics. But I’m more bored, lonely, sad, and frustrated than ever. Connections scares me as much as I crave them, and what connections I do make barely scratch the surface. I'm doing my best but it feels the worst. FML

Just goes to show that those people weren't really your friends. There are so many other things in life to occupy your time..... You don't need a type of drug to have a good time.

Hey jack.. Your friends might have said see Ya jäger.. But at least your healthy :)

That would've probable been better if you hadn't ONLY said the German for Hunter.

Why has this been thumbed down? I thought it was brilliant! Well done #13

Because if he'd said Jägermeister, then it would be understandable.

Start throwing dinner parties and get wasted off of good food and laughs!

Congrats ! I'm 10 years sober myself . I lost a lot of so called friends .

A lot of people are assuming OP's friends ditched her. Maybe she just stopped meeting up with them as it's difficult to be in an environment when other people are drinking and you can't. It's no fun being the only sober one.

Even so, they DID ditch OP if they were not willing to meet up in a save environment and without consuming alcohol.

I had to click YDI, because your life is getting better every day and does not suck. Stand strong my friend.

I see where you went with that, but only now hopefully other people will.

If your social life died because you don't drink anymore, then I think the social life you had before was toxic and unhealthy and you're better off without it.

You can easily have a social life without being drunk. Join a church or something and meet new people that have a good influence on you

I have faith in you. You can do this. Make healthier friends as you improve your health. It may be hard but it WILL be worth it.
