well said, I think OP should've switched off her cellphone or kept it on silent mode and concentrated on the revision.. but no, she couldn't even do that and besides, it was just a 3 hrs exam at tops, you break down like that's means you weren't actually prepared for it and blame that breakup for that.

Actually, these exams can be longer than FOUR hours (ex. DATs are 4 hours and 30 minutes). Additionally, some people qualify for extended time (ex. dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, severe anxiety), and in those cases exams can be as long as DOUBLE the time -- in some cases as long as NINE hours long. Don't be stupid. Or ignorant.

And upon rereading the FML, there's no mention of a cell phone either. The break-up could have been in person (living together, surprise visit, last "date"). Way to judge. I hope you don't make a habit of breaking up via cell phone if that was your first assumption...
