Today, I drove two and a half hours to a job interview. The interviewer never showed up or called. I sat in the hotel lobby waiting for an hour and a half. Even the hotel staff said they felt sorry for me. FML

Same thing different taste

Today, I had a job interview. I got there as quick as I could, having to travel two hours into a city I'd never been to. When I arrived, they told me I was turned down for being too late. They'd rescheduled the interview an hour earlier and I wasn't notified of the change. FML

Today, I had an interview scheduled for 10:05. When I got there, someone was talking to them, so I sat down to wait. Little did I know this wait would be 45 minutes. I got told to go home and that I'd be rescheduled. FML

Today, I had a job interview. I was almost late due to road closure and being blocked in my street by the trash truck. The "interview" turned out to be a hiring fair, with lots of other people. I had to wait outside for 3 hours in the sun with no shade, water or food. I didn't get the job. FML

Today, I had a job interview that I had spent hours preparing for it. When I arrived, the interviewer told me the position had been filled already and they forgot to notify me. I wasted a whole fucking day for nothing. FML

Today, I was at a job interview. The interviewer spoke to me for a few minutes, then said she would be right back, and left. I was left alone in a room for an hour and a half believing that it was a patience test. They closed the store for the day, leaving me in the interview room. FML

Today, I had a job interview at a Holiday Inn. I got there ten minutes early and sat until 1:00 p.m., then told the person at the front desk I was there for my interview. She called the manager, who said that no interviews were scheduled today. I'd gone to the wrong Holiday Inn. FML

Today, I had a job interview today after being unemployed for months. I left early but a stranger's giant SUV had me blocked in for over 2 hours. I called to explain the situation in the hope that I would be given another interview slot later in the week. I was told I clearly didn’t want the job. FML

Reminds me of what happened a few months ago. I got called down to my 1st job interview, and was exited about getting my 1st job. Whene I got to the fruit market, my employer wasnt there. Turns out she was at home and forgot about the interview and she rescheduled it for a week later and she said she'd call when she wanted me to come in for the interview. a week and a half passes and no call. I call in. She hired someone else and forgot about the 2nd interview....again.

Target is famous for this crap. I even went through a snow storm to get there. After i got an interview, i was invited back for the second round. Upon arriving for the second one, they interviewed me as if it was the 1st round. I got a call later to come in for the 1st round (again) and told them that if they can’t manage to count to two, I hope they go bankrupt in their idiocy. 2 years later the location closed due to “financial sinkhole” reasons

Why would you drive 2 1/2 hours? Why is it in a hotel? I would say YDI for not checking before leaving.

You know that happened to me too actually. A hotel job and everything. Luckily for me the interviewer did call and asked if I would mind sticking around a little longer until he got to the hotel. Turns out he was out getting something and got stuck in traffic. I got the job, which is good.

That really sucks. Who knows, maybe it will work in your favor? Maybe the interviewer will (and should) feel really bad about it and give you the job.

BAH. This totally happened to me, except it was a publishing company instead of a hotel. She was out of her office, sick, but hadn't told anyone. I left one of my finals early to go to that interview. It was rescheduled eventually, though.
