It's Friday, I'm in love

Today, I’m back at work after being out for a month on medical leave. I'd got my permanent schedule which included Friday, and I'd said fine but that I couldn't close on Friday as I have dialysis during the day, and that’s too much for my body. My boss said that was OK. Guess who they made close tonight? FML

It’s not obvious if boss doesn’t listen well or if they are trying to force OP to quit. I’ve seen both kind of situations… OP, ultimately you have to do what you can to survive. Maybe a doctor’s note would help - At least you would have it documented, making it harder for boss to conveniently “forget.”

They don’t listen well. I’m sure they didn’t mean any harm by it but they definitely forgot and by the time I realized I was going to end up closing it was too late to switch with anyone. Luckily dialysis changed my schedule to days I don’t work so it’s a non issue now. To be honest I’m lucky that I’m well enough to be able to continue to work, I just found it ironic that they make the girl with kidney failure stay until midnight yet everyone else gets to leave early.

WHY would anyone press YDI for this? Dude.. is on *dialysis*! That means failing kidneys and medical conditions are NOT their fault! WTF people!

You don't know that. Some causes of bad kidneys are things within people's control. There's no way to make a blanket statement absolving the OP of blame for their current condition.

don't close, if they come at you for a writeup or termination, get it in writing, and while they're threatening you, casually mention the phrase " my lawyer is either gonna love this or hate it, I can't tell which."

That's a lawsuit. It's called "constructive dismissal" and "disability discrimination". Contact a lawyer, now. This is VERY illegal.
