Oh, man, no good deed goes unpunished. Standard chairlifts generally handle up to 300 pounds., and geriatric models 600 pounds. Maybe they can change out the motor, and if they knew the user was > 300 pounds, cut you a deal. But of course it's not that simple. Sorry this happened.
