Heavy load

Today, my mom is mad at me because, at her insistence, I got a company to install a stairlift for her due to the pain in her legs, and after buying it and getting it installed, it turns out she’s too obese for it. It can carry me and Dad, but with her it just makes a grinding noise and refuses to move. FML

the seller and installer should have observed the need for a more powerful lift, or even k own to ask the weight range. negotiate the change within the warranty period

Oh, man, no good deed goes unpunished. Standard chairlifts generally handle up to 300 pounds., and geriatric models 600 pounds. Maybe they can change out the motor, and if they knew the user was > 300 pounds, cut you a deal. But of course it's not that simple. Sorry this happened.
